I stopped trying my hand at baking. I plan to try it again especially since the kids enjoy doing it with me. Seeing my online friends posting their homemade cakes and cuppies with very cute toppers inspires me. Inspiration is not enough though. I need the skills of course but with practice I think it’s doable.
I had some baking tools somewhere that I really need to use. I don’t think though that a Kenwood hand blender will make do for tough mixing. I use a hand blender for light mixing only. I need to buy one of those stable stand mixers because what I had broke down. To think that I have only been baking easy…like brownies, cheesecakes and ready mix Betty Crockers.
What I would love to do for a come back is a diverse flavor of French macarons (not to be confused with macaroons). The kids love this colorful treat. Dawty loves the lemon flavored (yellow) while older son preferred pistachio (green).
Little boy seemed to be the less adventurous going for chocolate (dark brown). I’ve set my eyes on caramel (the blurry behind the green one) and my taste bud agrees with my choice. The pink colored one is strawberry. I’ve been looking here and there for recipes. I found one that has an extensive instruction, complete with tips for beginners. Now, all I need is the patience to start baking and the will to finish it. lol.

Interesting. I have never really tried macarons and I didn’t really had a strong craving for it, but knowing that it had different flavors like pistachio, chocolate and strawberry I suddenly want to bite even just into one right now.
I honestly thought they were just food coloring. 😀
